And Sunday Scribblings 'Alchemy' - the only way my Dad can explain it!
REPORT
FIRST THE FACTS IN 55

I came joint third in my class of thirty one pupils.
I’m eight years old in a class of ten and eleven year olds.
Top to bottom, the subjects are as follows:
Thai
Math
Science
Religion
Biology
Art
Technology
English
Here’s my real 55 – ‘based’ on a true story my dad told me about… well, let’s just say… someone he used to know…
THE BEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE
At school, he was only weak
In two academic fields
That’s Physics and Chemistry
For most subjects, his Report
Would read (words to the effect):
“His punctuality and
Valuable contribution
Are a credit, much admired
By teachers, classmates alike”
However; the two Black Spots:
One year in particular…
Physics (twenty six percent)
“Lazy!”
Chemistry (just twenty five)
“Idle!”

ReplyDeletemy 55 is up!
I like your lay-out. You got the hang of this pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteHi Brian, thanks for visiting. What would we do without our dad's?
ReplyDeleteHi Dad, Fast learner or good teacher?
Excellent 55...
ReplyDeleteHow old are you again?
Come see me next week with another story...OK?
Hi G-man' I'm eight.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back...
Awww...don't worry honey. Just a little hard work can take care of that!
ReplyDeleteIt's so sweet of you to post the wedding photo of your parents :)
Hi Mona; The top one is me. Below is... someone else.
ReplyDeleteNicely written! I can see why you're doing well at school!
ReplyDeleteUncle Andy
Eight??? Chemistry and physics??? Wow! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI’m up here.
Hi Andy, I'm three places up on last year.
ReplyDeleteHi Pattiken, I hope I can keep up my grades.
Old Grizz spots and up and coming politician. cone to the U.S. and I'll vote for you
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Sunday Scribblings and blogging. I'm sure it will be an interesting thing to do now that school is out. You're a fine young student; I can tell.
ReplyDeleteHi Old Grizz; I'll ask my Dad...
ReplyDeleteHi Lilibeth; It's a bit like homework, but I don't mind.
Welcome to Sunday Scribblings - I look forward to reading more stories from you! (Your puppy is cute)
ReplyDeleteHi Dee; Welcome to 'Yes Man'. I look forward to posting more. And Dad would say the puppy is his!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get along with Physics and Chemistry either.
ReplyDeleteHi Carina; Science is not my strong point.
ReplyDeletei found yr curricumlum subjects interesting... now lazy and idle can be interpreted as a dreamer...yes..no... i cannot wait to see yr comments
ReplyDeleteHi One More Believer; You can be lazy without being idle. Lazy is another way of saying 'efficient'. Idle just means 'switched off', so that can be someone else's fault.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your Flash 55 and your answers written to comments, I would grade your paper as "perceptive"!
ReplyDeleteHi Buzzard; I'll try to do better next time... ;)
